Bed and Breakfast Palac

A seaside home in the old fishing village of Valun, island of Cres

Welcome to Valun

Bed and Breakfast Palac is a small family house right by the sea, in the heart of the historic village of Valun on the island of Cres. From the doorstep you step onto the stone promenade, with fishing boats, the harbour and the clear Adriatic in front of you and pine covered hills rising behind the village.

The house keeps the character of a traditional stone building while the interiors have been carefully renovated: bright, spotlessly clean rooms with private bathrooms, effective air conditioning, heating and free Wi-Fi. Several rooms open onto balconies with sea views, where the light over the bay changes through the whole day.

What guests remember most is the personal welcome. Arrival is easy and relaxed, advice about beaches, hiking paths and konobas is always at hand, and the atmosphere is warm and familiar - the feeling of staying somewhere personal rather than simply checking in.

The house and its comforts

Every room has a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries, towels, toilet paper and a hairdryer, plus fresh linens, a wardrobe, heating and air conditioning. Free Wi-Fi covers the whole house, there is a terrace for slow afternoons and evenings, the property is entirely smoke-free and the upper floors are reached by stairs. Well behaved pets are welcome on request, and the hosts speak Croatian, English and Italian.

Breakfast by the sea

Mornings begin with a generous continental breakfast: juice, fresh pastries, cheese, cured meats, fruit and good coffee, with eggs or pancakes prepared on request. It is served in the calm of the morning, before the village wakes up, and it is the part of the stay guests write about most often - a proper start before a swim, a hike towards Lubenice or a day of exploring Cres.

Rooms with sea and village views

Nine individually shaped rooms are spread over the first floor, the second floor and the attic under old wooden beams. Some look over the rooftops of the village, others directly onto the bay, and several have their own balcony above the water.
